Deliver what they advertise
We are halfway through the four weeks of training for our two year old dog and we like what we have seen. The people at Beach for Dogs have always been willing to patiently answer all of our questions about our dog and what we need to do on our part at home. We are already seeing results with our dog. Truly professional and friendly staff.
Efficient, Professional and Very Clean
I have a challenging, large dog who has become more friendly and obediant since attending BFD. I'm always greeted promptly when I drop off and pick up my energenic dog ( less energenic after day care ). They definitely know what they are doing and seem to genuinely care about each and every dog. I highly recommend BFD for socialization to both other dogs and people.
Friendly, experienced and love dogs!
We take our dog to the Beach for day care and when we go out of town for trips and she loves it there! They truly love dogs, enforce great training on a daily basis and are very helpful and respectful! We love having our dog taken care of by friendly, dog loving people who know what they are doing. Also a very clean and organized store with a great outdoor area for the dogs to be outside. We love The Beach!
Professional, friendly and a genuine love for dogs
I won't lie - I was a bit nervous when we first enrolled Harper in Beach for Dogs Beginner Obedience Training. I worried about leaving her in someone else's care all day. I worried about the direct & forceful tone of voice I heard from the trainers when we stopped in for a tour. At the same time, we had a friend enroll her puppy there, and we could see improvement in his behavior from the very beginning - so we decided to give it a try. Our puppy Harper was about 4 months old when she started Beginner Obedience training at the Beach, and she was exhibiting all of the normal, expected, but frustrating puppy behaviors: chewing everything in sight, constantly mouthing at people, jumping up on everything, etc. She is now 5 and a half months old, in her last week of training, and really a joy to have in our house! Now, she is not a perfect dog by any means (though she is perfect to us). She is still a puppy, and she still tests us with certain behaviors. The difference is: she is being taught right from wrong everyday at the Beach, AND (equally as important) we are learning how to be effective pack leaders with her at home. My biggest lesson learned so far is that being direct and stern with my puppy teaches her to listen to me and see me as her leader. I started by parroting the tone and language that the trainers at the Beach use with the dogs, and I immediately saw results. It was as if I was a different person, someone that my puppy respected. For the most part, we can tell Harper to do any of the basic commands, and she listens right away. If she doesn't listen, we've learned how to correct her and continue to notice improvements in her behavior. Being a first time puppy owner, I worried about a lot of things. Pete exchanged phone numbers with my fiance and I, and he didn't mind at all when I would text him checking in on Harper. In fact, I receive numerous photos and videos of Harper jumping, playing and sleeping throughout the day. It is obvious that each person here loves our dog, and Harper is so excited to see the staff each morning when she arrives. When done with her training, we will continue sending Harper to the Beach for daycare, at least a couple of times a week and are considering their Off-Leash program when she gets a bit older. Whether you're a first time puppy owner or someone struggling with behaviors in your adult dog, the Beach can help you. We highly recommend Beach for Dogs!
Off leash training = Great Results!!!
My name is Ovi and I'm a year old Fox Hound (aka a 12 year old boy), my parents left me with Beach for dogs for off leash training and boarding while they were on vacation and had a blast with Rip while being trained. I'm his mom, Stacy and I was very nervous for this training because of my mom instincts and when we picked him up I was blown away at the instant changes we saw! He had troubles jumping up and he laid down and stayed until we were ready for him. Also my husband loved the instant off leash connection he had with Ovi. Steve (the owner) was very communicative and honest about his feedback for us which was helpful to understand for Ovi's progress. I feel confident he will keep up his Lifetime warranty. Kelly (Steve's wife) sent us great videos and kept us in the loop during his boarding. We are very pleased with the training!
Highly, Highly, Recommended!!!
We got a new golden doodle puppy we lovingly call Snickers (short for Snickerdoodle) 7 months ago and she was more work than I anticipated. As a new dog owner, I had no idea of the work involved with a new puppy. I cried the first few days and considered returning her to her breeder. I thought I had been given the wrong puppy. Snickers was noisy, jumped around everywhere, chewed on everything, peed and pooped everywhere, didn’t know her name, cried, barked incessantly, and howled throughout the night…. every night! She completely disrupted my life and my home. I was pretty much DONE after a week of this craziness! Exhausted. Scared. Remorseful. Are all words that I would use to describe myself as a new puppy owner. While shopping in Jewel supermarket I decided to check out The BEACH to see if they could offer me any relief. The staff were kind, understanding, and knowledgeable about all things pertaining to dogs! The BEACH addressed my exhaustion by educating me about techniques to get my puppy to sleep through the night. Eureka! It worked!! They addressed my fears with affirmation and reassurance that I’m not crazy! Eureka! It worked! The BEACH addressed my “buyer’s remorse” by educating me on new puppy/dog ownership and the fact that things will get better as I worked with the trainers to reinforce training received by The BEACH. I listened and practiced EVERYTHING I learned at the BEACH, invested a nice chunk of $$$ (they offer a lifetime guarantee!) and today I’d like for you to meet the “new” Snickers… Snickers is well behaved, knows her name, sits on command, walks without tugging, knows where to potty in the yard, LOVES her kennel, sleeps through the night, rarely howls, unless she hears me singing then she tries to join in! lol, I take her everywhere I go and she’s so well behaved random strangers stop to compliment her daily. I’m a more educated “puppy mom”, well rested, not crazy, and not going to sell my Snickerdoodles on EBay! I am forever grateful to The BEACH for their professionalism, coaching, and encouragement! I can’t say enough about The BEACH or tell enough people about them, they are a “one stop shop” for ALL things dog (including nutrition, grooming, and overnight stays!). One thing about the overnight stay…. I left Snickers with The Beach for 10 days, they communicated with me, sent pictures and videos of her to reassure me that “all was well” and even offered to have her groomed, smelling good, and looking grand on the date of my return! They even do home visits to make sure that your pooch is behaving and acclimating well! This was such a worthy investment that will last a lifetime! KUDOS to the BEACH!! I look forward to off leash training in the Spring. Thanks Steve, Pete, Kyle, and Stacey! You folks are Da BOMB!!
We LOVE the BEACH for DOGS!!!!!
My family got a chocolate lab puppy this summer; she was my first dog ever and as the main daily caretaker I was having a VERY difficult time with her. She is a great dog, but she was very puppyish. Chewing, jumping, biting, pulling on the leash, etc. We knew we wanted to get some training, but we weren't sure where? A neighbor told me about the good experience boarding her dog at the BEACH FOR DOGS and said she knew they also did training and so I checked them out. They are not like your typical dog training experience. They board your dog weekdays daily for a month so they can work with them all day long. This definitely increases the cost, however they are so committed your training is guaranteed for LIFE. My friends and family were skeptical saying "don't you, need training too?" Now after the month long training they have all changed their tune. Everyone we meet, as well as, those we know can't believe what a "good" dog she is. Translation....calm, well behaved, very obedient. She is only 6 months old and she obeys all commands, walks next to us on a leash, sits and stays until we "release" her. Steve the owner and Pete spent time regularly at pick up giving me tips and pointers on our "homework" and they even made an evening house-call free of charge to get the whole family involved with the training. I can't say how much THE BEACH for DOGS has changed my life with my dog and we plan on doing the "off leash" training as soon as the holidays are over. You won't be disappointed; its the best money you could spend on your dog and family!!!! The Coe Family (Chocolate Lab "RIVER")
My name is maverick I'm a golden Pyrenees my parents picked me up in Oshkosh wisconsin. I had some issues they said I was 3 but they lied, I've put on 30 pounds since. I went to off leash training at the beach, I am know very well mannered for the most part I don't chew the house, I can stick around mom and dad. I still visit the beach and have been boarded there and love it. They do a great job but you as parents must remain diligent in the training
Excellent customer service, clean and professional!
Committing to a new puppy was stressful, but the Beach has made it extremely manageable and rewarding! Our puppy receives rave reviews from everyone. They comment on how well behaved she is and are surprised to find out she is only 5 months old. They work with our schedule and have accommodated every request.
I have been leaving my Weimariner here for daycare and for overnight and have been super happy with the care my dog receives. She is always played out and sleeps very well after being with beaches. Great group of trainers and groomers!
